The clients' requirements were for a dramatic 'statement' garden. Stone headed dragons with bodies of writhing yew hedge set atop stone walls 'guard' the house and create the desired memorable 'first impression'. Serpentine swirls of hedging flowing down the hill are evocative of smoke from the dragons' nostrils!
Within the landscape scheme, additional themed spaces include a formal pool enclosed by a pleached pear tree screen and a secret sunken formal garden. The property is now a renowned wedding venue
